• Dismantle your beds, lamps, take mirrors off the dressers and empty desk drawers.
• Place all hardware from dismantled items in a plastic bag and place it inside the piece of furniture or tape it directly to the furniture piece.
• Make sure all of your gas appliances that are being moved have been properly disconnected and the gas line properly capped.
• Disconnect the refrigerator water line for the icemaker. Disconnect the electric for all appliances being moved.
• Lock all freezers and file cabinets being moved.
• Leave clothing items inside dresser drawers and chests of drawers, however, remove valuables, breakables or any items that may spill.
• Finally, move as many of the smaller items you can on your own.
• Note: we will be glad to do any of the above items for you with the exception of gas appliance connections.

No Travel Time

We do not charge for travel time. You will find most companies charge their customers from the time they leave their offices until the time they actually return. At Lupica Movers, Inc., that's not the case. Your billing time does not start until we reach your origination point, no matter where you live. An extra charge may apply for moves outside of Cuyahoga County.

Minimum Charge

Our minimum charge is only $360.00 for the first 3 hours of actual labor. This charge is based on the rate for a crew of 2 professional movers and a fully equipped, modern moving truck. Minimum charges will vary for additional men and trucks. Please ask for a specific quote on additional men and trucks.

Billing Time

Billing time (work time) starts upon arrival at your origination point and ends when the truck is empty, and the job is complete at your destination. After you pass the 3 hour minimum, we will bill you in quarter hour increments, rounded up to the next quarter hour. Your hourly rate is reduced to only $80.00 per hour or $20.00 per quarter hour (based on a 2-man crew).

Fuel Charge

There is a one time $30 fee for fuel charge.

Payment

Payment is due upon completion of the move. Payment is accepted in cash, personal check when accompanied by a valid driver's license or state picture I.D., or Visa and Mastercard. A 5% service charge is added to all bills paid by credit card. For commercial or business movers, a purchase order number is required. All jobs requiring a purchase order must be pre-approved by our office.
